The Spark
In September 2020, our founder Will Gibson’s life changed in an instant. A devastating bicycle accident left him with severe injuries and a long road to recovery. Confined to bed rest and unable to return to his regular job, Will faced an uncertain future. But amidst the pain, he found a distraction: a small KitchenAid mixer and a craving for something sweet.
The Muse
During his darkest days, an angel appeared - a small, emaciated black dog found wandering in Wylie. Will and his wife Natalie took her in and named her Pearl. Despite her rough past, Pearl offered nothing but pure, unconditional love. She never left Will’s side through sleepless nights and surgeries. She became the symbol of resilience that powered this dream.
The Shop
What started as a hobby to fight boredom quickly became a neighborhood sensation. With the support of Natalie and their neighbor-turned-investor Alan Moses, Will moved from his home kitchen to a commercial space, and finally, to our beautiful shop in Firewheel Town Center. Today, Sweet Pearl’s is a celebration of how far we’ve come—and we are so grateful to share it with you.
